Bobbi Cameron
Bobbi Cameron (b.1991) is a multi-disciplinary queer scottish artist. Bobbi is primarily concerned with using acts of queering to dismantle and disrupt normative confinements of space, place and (both constructed and bodily) architectures. She often negotiates this research through experiments with memory, ghosting bodies and performative action.
Before starting the MFA, she worked primarily in performance and shared work in a number of leading performance festivals and venues across the UK including //BUZZCUT// Festival, Summerhall (Edinburgh), The Arches (Glasgow), Platform (Glasgow) and Wellcome Collection (London). Her solo performance work Privates was reviewed as “Vital ground-breaking work” by The Herald and **** The List, **** The Guardian and **** The Scotsman. Although now working across sound installation, video and text, performance continues to be at the roots of her practice; often working with communities and spatial negotiations of the viewer.
