Benjamin Duax

Benjamin Duax was born in the 1980s and mostly raised in California. Before coming to Scotland he participated in the Evelyn Kossak painting fellowship at Hunter College and worked in Museum Education. In 2018 he helped organize Last Futures, a Festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the May 68 student demonstrations, participated in the Palazzo Monti Residency and started an online archive of UK based painters, The Butterbiggens Prize. Recent work has focused on how paintings change when they are reproduced at different scales and mediums.
