The driving questions for my work in the degree show: Is there agency in a home/ domestic object itself? Or is it just how these things are used that defines their participation within a social structure? How do domestic props function as symbols or metaphors of other social and cultural structures of hierarchy? How much transferring occurs between the user and the object? How does a home/domestic space retain the physical and psychic impressions of the body? How does the flexibility and mould-ability of our memories of these spaces and objects, of these structures, effect our relationship to these structures in a wider context?
