Statement
Our world is saturated by images – still or in motion. My practice is centred on the use of image fragments that I create. By re-arranging the fragile imagery of the illusion of our lives I explore the links between these time-based fragments with my own interpretation. The rawness of the digital image is a key characteristic of my practice and the video works I’ve made during my time on the MFA are usually presented as part of gallery based, immersive installations. My approach to installation also addresses the videos in specified representations, which locates the polysemy that often exists in my works into an image’s certain indexicality.
