Solveig Einarsdottir

Solveig Einarsdottir’s work transforms the aesthetics of the everyday into objects of seduction and wonder.

Using a variety of materials and processes she explores the parallels between the real and the surreal, the mundane and the spectacular.

Whether inspired by childhood nostalgia, popular culture or art history, her works are always grounded in pleasure and aesthetics.

Solveig received her BA in fine arts from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2003.
