The political and societal relationships that define us and our roles in the wider social environment through austerely defined spaces- such as courtyards and other private spaces are my primary focus. It is exactly these relationships that I have explored in my work. So far, I have tried to re-assign and reallocate meanings to these relationships through the exploration of space. It is my intention to approach the space as an object and the idea of space in its most abstracted and fundamental form. Through my work I want to create references to the dipoles of the public and the private – and also, to their indistinguishable boundaries. I attempt to expose and to re-establish these boundaries by interweaving the boundaries between architecture-sculpture and between two and three dimensions. Ultimately, my purpose is to create an expanded sculptural space.
