Using computer code, the Internet, Augmented Reality, CCTV cameras, live streams, biometrics and geolocation coordinates; throughout my practice I deal with reframing technology in relation to locality and space to create disruptions between the physical and the digital. Cyberspace as a medium and territory to explore new ways of engaging with spaces that are materially and temporally restricted. I am interested in how our understanding of movement—it being political, physical, cultural or social—can be shaped by our relationship with technology.
I have a strong believe in the potential of digital technologies as tools for creating spaces for non-performance and refusal, outside of western logic. By re contextualizing and repurposing different technologies, alternate ways of representation and visibility can be achieved. The emancipation of technology as a decolonising act of resistance.
