Statement
The Romanian government, in its attempt to tackle the recession, has passed a new law to impose tax on the practices of witches and fortune-tellers. Witches protested the new tax law by cursing the president and his government, and throwing poisonous mandrake root into the Danube River, so evil will befall them. Since then, Romania has passed another new law affecting witches and fortune-tellers. Practitioners can now be fined or even face prison time if their predictions or spells do not come true.
