'The question is; do I know who you are, do you know who I am, do we care about each other? Because if we do... together we can turn the world around.'
Harry Belafonte, The Muppet Show

Working within the media of sculpture and video, I utilise an aesthetic language of humour, pathos and childishness. In my work I explore hierarchies, YouTube and puppets, aiming to dismantle the problematic relationship between pop and art.

Born 1985, Scotland

Carla got a BA (Hons) Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007 before starting the MFA programme at Glasgow School of Art in 2009. Her video works have been exhibited in Scotland, Lithuania, Germany and Estonia. She used to be a keyboard player but has recently embraced the accordion.
